Katie + Jordan | Mount Tamborine Wedding

KATIE + JORDAN

*FAB* MOUNT TAMBORINE WEDDING (@ AN AIR BNB!)

Let me just start by saying.. EUGHHHHHH THESE GUYS AND THEIR WEDDING WAS AMAAAAZING! I looooved how they did this - mainly because I’ve never had another couple do this before and I honestly think it is one of the best ideas ever! Katie and Jordan decided to tie the knot with a small group of their closest family and friends and instead of hiring out an actual ‘wedding venue’ did their own thing and found the most beautiful air bnb house to host everyone at Mount Tamborine.

I feel like Tamborine in general is one of those hidden gems that people tend to overlook but as you will see from the photos, it couldn’t be more perfect and when coupled with these two lovers, it was pure magic! I was lucky enough to have time to visit both the guys and gals in the morning during their prep and both parties were so relaxed! The girls spent the morning listening to music, cracking jokes and making ‘Pims’ for everyone and the boys literally went out for lunch prior to the ceremony and spent the rest of the day relaxing. It was honestly just a fantastic and fun vibe the entire day which was no doubt a reflection of Katie and Jordan and who they are. You’ll also note the one gold ring in the below image amongst Katie’s otherwise all silver jewellery.. a nod to her late Father and the sweetest thing that may or may not have brought a tear to this gal’s eye.

Having met when and known each other since they were teenagers it was so sweet to watch them finally tie the knot! During bridal photos Katie couldn’t stop laughing, much to Jordan’s dismay, at one point asking her to stop laughing to which she replied, “I can’t! I’m just SO happy!”. Gahhh. Like, seriously! One of the best parts about their day was how much time they put aside for bridal photos as well! I have alwaaays wanted to take a couple up to my favourite candy shop on the mountain, “Granny Mac’s” so after some nudging *sarcasm* and a lot of convincing (none at all.. I think Katie was more excited about the lolly shop than her actual reception dinner) we all jumped into my Mazzie and found ourselves some giant lolly pops and some super sweet portrait locations! (P.S if you’re ever in the area and need a holder for a giant lolly pop, just use your wedding photographers empty Zarraffas cup from the morning to hold it in between locations!) But in all seriousness it was just an beautifully intimate and no fuss day!

Katie and Jordan, thank you so much for having Gen and I be part of your day - it was waaaay too much fun to be called work and watching you get married made my heart sing with joy for you both! I know your future will be filled with just as many fun and lolly filled days as this one was..

All my love!
Lauren
