KIM + ROB
GABBINBAR HOMESTEAD WEDDING
High school sweethearts, Kim + Rob, could not have chosen a more beautiful venue or one more perfect for them than Gabbinbar Homestead in Toowoomba! After 9 years together it was sooo obvious that they were both just itching to finally be able to call each other husband and wife - as were both of their families! Kim’s little brother howled the entire ceremony and it plucked more than a few of our heart strings to watch..
Having met at such a young age these two knew from the get go that it was meant to be and Kim has told me more than once that they have been inseparable since the first day Rob asked her out on a date back in the day. Life has taken them all around Queensland for work and the world for leisure - including Japan which is where Rob sneakily filmed his proposal to Kim in front of the iconic Himeji castle!
Their day was packed with their closest family and friends who travelled far and wide just to see these two FINAAAALLY tie the knot, more donuts than you could poke a stick at, the cutest mini new born bridesmaid you’ll ever see, faaaar too many dirty jokes and just a whole lot of fun! We even managed to sneak out after dark for some shots under the festoon lighting and lanterns.. 100% worth it!! Kim’s flowers on her wedding day weren’t just absolutely beautiful but they also held a great tradition within their family. They, like her mother before her as well as her cousin and one of her aunts, were made by her ridiculously talented and incredibly sweet Nanna. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a massive stickler for tradition, I’m fine either way, but this.. I love this kind of tradition! Not only did she do the girls bouquets but all the floral arrangements for the day, including the huge centre pieces so make sure to have a good squiz at them!
To the fab newlyweds! Thank you SO much for having Gen and I be part of your incredibly beautiful day. Getting to watch you become Mr + Mrs Lucas was SUCH a pleasure and just an all round crazy enjoyable day!! I personally can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both and hopefully these images bring back all the memories for years to come! ***ADD FLORIST***
